Avian Flu: Influenza A virus:  Antiviral activity of BOV-23 was studied in disease model animals (mice) infected with H5N1 or H3N2, a subtype of the influenza A virus.  In connection with increasing circulation of highly pathogenic variant of flu virus А/Н5N1 among wild and domestic birds, the threat of pandemic strain of a flu virus is enormous.  All this indicates to the importance to develop effective remedies against flu infection.
